You dirty rat.

August 22, 2012 - Pic #235

RAT. Whenever I see one of these, I am immediately taken back to that horrible Spring 2006 semester at NYU when the grad students took over Washington Square Park with their woes. I was not a fan. This guy, however, was conveniently placed three feet from the Fulton Street subway stairs, blocking all traffic and frightening many commuters emerging from the tunnels. Well done!

Paid two cavities for avoiding the dentist for over a year. Not worth it!

Ugh. This is not a fortune.

Sadly, Meghan will be leaving NYC to return to MA this weekend. As a send-off, she and I enjoyed Chinese food and drinks as roomies, as we have several times over the years. The fortune cookies have not gotten any better.

Leaky Life Trials

A little drip turned into a big problem. Luckily we have an awesome (and gorgeous) super who fixed it right up!

I Blame Time Warner.

Our Internet is not working due to an outage in the area which Time Warner is "diligently working on," according to their customer support. Riiiiight.

Really awful timing since I took the day off tomorrow to stay home and do school work, which I need the inter-webs for. Who knows when it will be back? Ugh. Now I'm going to have to find clean clothes and leave the apartment to go find a wireless connection. I'm so spoiled!

Unfortunately the lack of connection also makes it hard to post my pictures here. I've been keeping up with the project on Twitter and Facebook... Don't worry. My phone has an app to publish blogger posts, but it's not super easy to format or include photos. I'll retroactively post once I've rejoined the 21st century.

Did I mention that I'm spoiled?

Fastest way to decrease your neighborhood's appeal

Pic #93 - 4/2/12

If I posted this yesterday you might think it was a joke. But no. This is a real heaping pile of garbage stinking up the street. I see it about once per week outside the Popeye's on 116th street near Lennox. Hate.
